Punta Galera, IBIZA
Punta Galera is a breathtaking bay, flanked by cliffs, that was previously a stone quarry. Locally it’s called “flat rocks” because of the series of flat stone ‘shelves’ that have been formed out of the rocks, making it a spectacular location.
It’s one of the most popular spots in Ibiza for nudists.
There are no facilities such as sun beds or parasols at Punta Galera so you need to take everything you need with you – parasols would be difficult to position because of the rocky surface. Water shoes are recommended to make it easier to walk on the rocks and get in and out of the water. As there is no shade available you should time your visit carefully, perhaps going in the morning or later in the afternoon, remembering to take with you sun hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. Punta Galera is not recommended for children. Its location and access mean that it does not become overcrowded. The sunsets at Punta Galera are spectacular – amongst the best in Ibiza.
