Es Torrent, IBIZA
Es Torrent is a small, quiet, exclusive, and beautiful cove in the bay of Porroig. It is situated in the South of Ibiza, eight kilometres from Sant Josep.
It is a sheltered cove with rock ledges on both sides, surrounded by a lush pine forest, and has a view of the beautiful coastline and anchored yachts. The Es Torrent restaurant brings most of the crowd here.

WIND & SWELL
This stretch is a wide bay and open mostly to west and south winds and swell. It’s a perfect anchorage for Easterly or Northerly winds and often lots of space to anchor.
ANCHORING / SEABED
Lots of space available to anchor along the bay or towards Porroig. It’s a rocky area so not many charter yachts will anchor here.
MOORING BUOYS
There are no mooring buoys available at Es Torrent.
DINGHY ACCESS
Many places to land you dinghy on the stone beach, or if you book at the nearby restaurant they offer a taxi service.
BEACHES
Very quiet, exclusive, and quiet golden sand beach. This is not a party scene, as it’s mostly frequented by high-end Es Torrent restaurant regulars, and an older crowd looking for a quiet time. Often there aren’t any children here either. Beach beds, beach chairs, and sun loungers with white towels are the main attraction. The sea is very shallow, and clear but the surface beneath the water is stony, so come suitably prepared with footwear.
FOOD & DRINK
There is one restaurant in Es Torrent, directly behind the beach, with a shaded outside area. It’s quite well-known and popular for its traditional Ibecenco fish dishes, being one of the reasons many come here. Prices reflect the exclusive nature of the beach.
SHOPPING
There are clothes shops and jewellery shops here, just in case you’d like to change for an elegant dinner. The prices are elegant too!
THINGS TO DO
The main thing to do at Es Torrent is to relax and enjoy the view. Other than that you can eat, lounge, shop or you can also enjoy a massage.
ROAD ACCESS
Best to hire a car or take a taxi. To get to Es Torent from Sant Josep, take the road to Ibiza. After 3 km, you’ll see the road to Porroig. Follow it for a few kilometres until you see another road to the right. Parking is limited although it’s usually not that busy.
